The PX Pulse has become a cornerstone of The Beryl Institute’s research. "What people see as important in their experiences remains clear and consistent. People still seek care because their health and wellbeing are important to them," said Jason A. Wolf, PhD, CPXP, President & CEO, The Beryl Institute in the report. "But what they want most from healthcare organizations is to be listened to, communicated to clearly, taken seriously, and provided clear plans of care. These reflections suggest that the importance of focusing on the relational nature of healthcare between patients and providers remains essential."
Other key insights from the report, include:
- The top reason why people felt experience was important was because, “my health and wellbeing are important.”
- 56% of patients said that, “Good patient experience contributes to my healing/good healthcare outcomes.”
- People will tell others about their good and bad experiences, with 35% not returning to a provider after a bad experience.
- When asked about issues in healthcare, the top three were cost, quality, and access.
